Job Summary

This position is in CCU's Service Central office, a department with integrated student service functions. The Student Financial Support Analyst assists with the administration of financial aid programs by performing a variety of daily financial aid processing, providing functional and technical support within the Financial Aid module of Ellucian Colleague. This includes running processes and problem analysis and resolution to issues associated with the Colleague system and related student applications. The Student Financial Support Analyst also assists registration and admissions support services.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Perform transaction processes in student information systems including administering federal and state student financial assistance, determining students' eligibility for financial aid, monitoring compliance with financial award conditions, loan origination and certification, student funds disbursement, Title IV verification, and evaluating and implementing improved functionality in all electronic financial aid processes and procedures within the student information system.
  2. Assist with other processes pertaining to student registration and admission records, such as transcript evaluation, degree audit, registration, and admissions documentation.
  3. Prepare and run communication flows from within Colleague environment and help support hardcopy fulfillment when necessary.
  4. Trouble shooting and analysis of problems and solutions within the Colleague environment.
  5. Assist in all student record-keeping in maintaining confidentiality and required FERPA regulations.
  1. Excellent customer service with internal and external constituencies.
  2. Bachelor's degree or 2 years of experience in the financial aid field. Prior financial aid experience is preferred.
  3. Attention to detail in dealing with student records and reporting requirements, and ability to handle multiple unique tasks within a typical day.
  4. Computer applications experience and ability to learn new applications quickly.
  5. Ability to work in the Colleague environment, and handle confidential data/information with integrity.
  6. Work to improve systems and communication between customers.

Nature of Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk; stand; sit; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; speak with clarity, have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
